[Modus] ModusGate question

Are there any plans to have modusGate validate a mailbox via a database versus a smtp connection. We are trying to use modusGate 3 to protect our modusMail and the SMTP authentication method cant keep up. Seems, having modusGate authenticate the mailbox from the same database that modusMail uses then caching that mailbox for say 1 week would be an idea solution.     Gary
