Like I said:
I think you'll find this fixed (prolly maybe perhaps) in
the next release.
It works on my system.
I'm a Microsoft
Exchange ASP hosting company, just for a little background there (we do other
things too, but for the purpose of this
discussion....) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Greg Miller Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 9:10 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Modus] Exchange 2000 Server question? Using
ModusGate 3.0(282) authentication with Exchange 2000 for Web
Authentication
We have done some testing with Exchange 2000 and have been
successful at authenticating but we are finding some interesting things.
Customers send and receive mail from their Exchange servers using a particular
domain name like domain_a.com but
when logging onto their domain they use a domain name called domain_b.com. If ModusGate is
authenticating for some_user@domain_a.com but the server expects some_user@domain_b.com you can't
log in and see the spam quarantined for your mail sending domain.
If we create a connection for domain_b.com and log in through the web interface
the Exchange Server will authenticate us and allow us to log in but we
are would be viewing the quarantine for the wrong domain name. Vircom
is apparently working on domain aliasing so you can log in with credentials from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] but be passed
through to the Exchange Server as [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Has
anyone found anything contrary to this or been able to get this to
work.
Thanks,
Greg
