I'm running two webmail systems at the moment to get around this, it's
confusing and annoying, but a freeware PHP one has better timeout
options. Otherwise, I tell them to compose in notepad first.

I think this has been brought up before but let me second the request.
I
think WebMail should be reworked to not popup a window to compose a new
message. It causes too much confusion with popup blockers these days.

I also ran into a problem with a user that was furious with us. They
took a
long time to write a message and when they finally went to hit send they
got
an error saying the session timed out and they lost the message. Is
webmail
using sessions to keep track of things? If so, it appears the timeouts
are
set too low.
