We still have a bunch of old HP printer servers in operation running the DLC
protocol. During migration of a Win2000 server to Win2003 now I found than
Microsoft does not support the DLC protocol anymore with Win2003/XP because
it is not routable.

But I am not willing to dump all are good working print servers so I
experimented for a day and finally found out how to extract the DLC protocol
from Win2000 to make it installable in Win2003 again. It works like a charm
and so I want to make this solution known in the MS news groups to other
people with the same problem.

The only problem is that I only have the GERMAN versions of the necessary HP
dlls, but I would like to test the installation procedure for the ENGLISH
version too before I raise false hopes.

So could someone with an ENGLISH Win2K server please send me

Two files from the SYSTEM32 directory:
HPMON.DLL
HPMON.HLP

One file from the INF directory:
NETDLC.INF

Thanks in advance
