1) did you do a direct upgrade on your production server? or 2) did you do a fresh install and move over the boxes?
I've done both, and both worked fine.
3) any problems with DATABASE boxes (new format of db)
They can be a pain in the neck (not Vircom's fault - this is a high-load app and requires special handling), but they work fine if you need them. We are an ISP and have good reasons for needing DB mailboxes, so we've worked out the bugs on our system.
5) any other issues on the upgrade?
Make sure that you configure the new Anti-spam and Security features properly. It's a good idea to keep your system offline (i.e. don't let it start receiving mail) until you've configured all of this.
7) anyone create a different "skin" for the webmail? The demo is a non-thriller to me
Isn't it though :) The main difficulty is that once you create a new skin, you have to re-create it after every upgrade. It's doable if you need to, since most of the code is editable ASP.
