I've tried the WSGIApplicationGroup %{GLOBAL}, it didn't help.

I'm currently testing the theory that it's called by a buggy version of rpy2
(which we're using). We also have MySQLdb, python-cdb, and possibly one or
two others (I'd have to check which ones have associated C code).
