BTW, what WebFaction is probably doing is:

    https://www.debian-administration.org/article/57/Making_/tmp_non-executable

That is mounting /tmp with 'noexec' mount option.

Good to have actually come across that, as would have hit it later in another 
way when running mod_wsgi-express in steps I will give you if didn't know.
