hi Doc,

There's no such command - once a device is created, it can only
be marked "dead" if you don't want to use it anymore.

I found this post on the mailing list to be very informative. It
really drove it home.

Subject: Delete device

I added a second host to my tracker (another.mysite.com) and also tried
adding its device, "dev2". However, it appears I've made an error:

# mogadm --lib=/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5 --trackers=192.168.1.102:6001 device
list
mogilestorage [1]: alive
                   used(G) free(G) total(G)
  dev1: alive 9.162 130.232 139.395
  dev2: alive 0.000 0.000 0.000
another.mysite.com [2]: alive
                   used(G) free(G) total(G)

"dev2" should be on another.mysite.com. How do I remove dev2? "mogadm
device delete" doesn't seem to be a valid command.
