Hello Josef
Well 205/70 15's can be mounted on rims from 5.5" through 7.5". The
question I would have is there ample room for cornering, i.e., before
part of the tyre begins to rub against the chassis.
Maybe one of the fellows who use wider tyres for track events could
enlighten us! My preference is also to stay moderately close to the
original specs for the car.
I also mounted Vredestein Classics on my BJ8 (Healey 3000) last spring,
the 165/70 15's. I think, very
nice and good in the wet.
Warm regards

Dear Ed,
Nice to hear from a fellow Canuck. I'm originally form Toronto,
living in Monaco.
Given my current rims, fitted with 175/70 R15's could I fit wider
tyres like say 205/70 R15?

Hello Josef
On my 1989 4/4 I replaced the Firestone tyres with Vredestein
Classics. These seem to work
very well in wet as well as dry conditions.

I have a 1970 4/4 with Michelin MXT 175/70 R15 tyres in desperate
need of replacement. I am looking for road holding more than long
wear. Any recommendations please.
