Well, they made a bit of money – it went for £16,000, but the current issue
of Classic & Sports Car reports the same car being sold within the last two
months by Coys Auction at Ascot for £12,363

 

But this does happen – I sold LAB 274 for £300 in 1970 (a tidy profit on the
£215 I paid a couple of years earlier).  In January Goodings sold it for
$79.750!
