Read my earlier post - there is no such thing as British Racing Green as a colour in period. Folk quite literally used what they had at the time
So yes when the name has cropped up since, other than the paint being green, the shade could be anything.

A web search gives four paint codes (ie different shades and finishes) for Rover alone since 1988 so does not include the colour some MGBs are painted in. BMW had one, Jaguar sort of (Jaguar racing green) and I've found reference to Austin Morris having had at least one too.

Does anyone know - Did each marque have a different shade green specific to
the marque and are there variations to "British Racing Green?"
