Hi Alan,
E roads are European trunk routes - so keep the same designation regardless of borders. A roads are generally motorways/autoroutes - but beware in France as D (departmental) roads change their numbering as you cross department borders. And if you are using an old map many used to be called National roads RN - and the D numbering might - or might not - bear any relation to the RN numbering! If it wasn't for the SatNav we could driven to Turkey if we had to rely on the road signs!Cheers Alan Sussex View posts on The Mail Archive http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ <https://www.listbox.com/member/?& 3> Modify Your Subscription <http://www.listbox.com> ------------------------------------------- View posts on The Mail Archive http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ [http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/] Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=22459785&id_secret=22459785-4a39ddf8 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
