Why not install the radiator from below? Jack the car up as high as you can,
support on axle stands at max. height, disconnect the fan and so the change
from below. I did this without difficulty some years ago in my 4/4.

How hard is it to remove a cowl on a Plus 4? I have a alloy radiator to
install and it seems that with no cowl, the radiator could be dropped right
in.
