On your mog on the ramp you can easily get to the filler plug from underneath on the r/hand side . You will need hand pump to fill the box with oil but draining is at the middle/bottom. The plug on mine is a torx fitting size 55. I thought of drilling holes but did not know where so went by the route of going underneath. Oil I have used is Comma Oil From Andrew Page. ________________________________ From: Chris Bailey <[email protected]> To: mogtalk2 <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, 24 July 2012, 10:42 Subject: [mogtalk2] Gearbox oil I am looking to check and replace the gearbox oil on my 1996 Rover T16 +4. Whilst the inspection cover is on the N/S of the tunnel it would appear that the access is on the O/S! Is I correct before I start drilling unnecessary holes? I'm sure I remember reading something along these lines previously. Additionally, what oil are people recommending as the Castrol TQF is proving difficult to obtain and I've been warned as it's "a non friction modified product" by their technical team!
