It seems to me of all of the modern drivers aids fitted now days the one that seems to be abused the most is the parking/reversing gismo. Where ever I park the Defender someone always seems to park within inches of my tow bar or the front bumper. Now what right minded person would intentionally want to park that close to a scruffy old Land Rover, covered in mud, never mind boxing it in? I returned to the Land Rover today to find a Merc some 6 inches from the front bumper and a Volvo at 10 inches from the tow bar for no apparent reason. Why? I suppose the answer is they can. Still they say the crumple zone of a Defender is the other car!!! That said people don’t seem to park that close to the Mog, I wonder why? Rant over. T C David
