There is a lot, lot more to the Morgan Sports Car Club than just a magazine, I just don't know what some members expect.
If you just look and see what the Car Club has to offer, from reductions on insurance, engine oils and breakdown cover, to fantastic deals on travel, the organisation of events such as car racing , sprinting, hill climbing , car trials, gymkhanas, autosolos,(this is a sports car club remember), even discounts on attendance at race days, then I reckon you get a pretty good deal for what you pay. For heavens sake, some of you will pay the annual subscription on a single bottle of wine if the 'status' of some of the members is taken into account! You call it a dining club and a social club? Spot on! I have just spent a weekend with 60 other like-minded Morgan folks on a run from Southport to Hornsea. If this sort of event does not embody what a sports car club is about, then more words will fail me! This Club is democratically run. If you want the Club to be steered in a direction: go for office! Attend the regular NCM's, stand up and speak: it is your right! But please don't moan on a forum and expect the world to change.
