OK I see now, I guess I didn't try too much without pushing to Github, since indeed, this is shit without that variable then <https://github.com/mojohaus/convert-to-git/blob/master/migration-tools/convert-project.sh#L131> . Anyway, just retried locally the command I had put at https://github.com/mojohaus/convert-to-git/blob/master/README.md#subversion---git-conversion and this worked for the repo conversion part, which is by far the most important and complex part of that script, and it also failed at the end. Well, then just create the repo by hand, and push there. Just beware to push everything like at https://github.com/mojohaus/convert-to-git/blob/master/migration-tools/convert-project.sh#L140L141 (i.e. you don't want to push only the current branch...)
