No, you were not, "Wow, and people are surprised that open source projects have a bad reputation..." is absolutely derogatory and will not be tolerated on this list. But who knows, maybe it is better to just leave bad questions open forever. I've already given up on trying to close all issues on GitHub, that way i at least won't risk upsetting people.
