Look into http://distrowatch.com/, which of the popular distros come with
5.20. The next Debian stable will have 5.20. I estimate Debian 8 to be
released in the 1st quarter of 2015. LTS (long term support) of Debian
'squeeze' oldstable (Perl 5.10.1) will end February 2016, of current stable
(Perl 5.14.2) two years later.

As a developer for fun I would like to have signatures, or even more Perl 6.
As a pragmatic developer I minimize dependencies, even cleanout attributes
before release.
As an admin of shared hosting I keep track with the distros for
convenience, minimize administration hell and risks.

Thus I would estimate now + 1 year for an interim solution, if you want to
minimize the sum of whining by admins, app-developers and core-developers.
