mode"[1],
but I don't with "optimized for all the browsers".
Do you have an example?

$static->headers->production({'Expires' => 'Fri, 08 Jul 2016 19:54:46 GMT'})
$static->headers->development({})
Is that what you think of? I'm not really sure, since it can be done
with after_static hook too
