I have a newbie install problem I'm stumpped on: (I'm running Fedora Core 1 (x86))
I tried installing an rpm (from Dag Wieers' repository) both directly and via apt. When I tried installling directly with rpm, it didn't return any error messages and appeared to install fine, but it didn't actually install it. When using apt, I get a list of unmet dependencies including config(mon). It lists 6 perl modules followed by "but it is not installable," and "/usr/local/bin/perl but it is not installable." I've subsequently compiled and installed the 6 perl modules, but they are still listed as unmet dependencies. I don't understand what the /usr/local/bin/perl dependency is.
