I have several deployments of mon-0.99.2 working swimmingly for my
purposes. Monshow --showall output, the subject of this note, is
fine.

On another recent installation, I elected to upgrade to the most
recent development version mon-0.99.3-41.

My experience so far with this version appears fine as well; the
only problem I've encountered thus far is with the included monshow
client.

When I use the included monshow version:

# $Id: monshow 1.10 Tue, 30 Sep 2003 09:36:32 -0400 trockij $

I see something like this on a simple invocation of monshow:

/opt/mon/current/clients> ./monshow
No non-switch args expected

usage: monshow [--auth] [--showall] [--full] [--login user] [--disabled]
...exit

Translating the error message, monshow seems to think I'm passing an arg
that is an erroneous non-switch; afaik, I'm not.

When I pull over a copy of an older monshow client version:

# $Id: monshow 1.7 Sun, 24 Jun 2001 22:41:40 -0400 trockij $

the monshow output connecting to the new server is as expected - ie
same as the older client/server versions.

Any idea if I am overlooking something silly or is there an issue
with the newer client?

Thanks,

Jerry
