fyi, FC6, SLES 10, and RHEL5 ship with 0.13, which seems to be bundled with
Perl 5.8.8. I'm running the mon-1.2.0 from the sf.net CVS on a stock
SLES10 box and the syslog works just fine.

Shortly I'll have a RHEL4 system to muck with, and I'll see what I can come
up with to make all of them work out-of-the-box.
