removed timeout extension;
the load test runs in (significantly) less than 1 minute on all other platforms,
but seem to require 9 minutes (or more!)
on Solaris --- I consider that a bug on Solaris (either in Solaris itself,
or in the way our code works on Solaris --- it did work fine in the last
release...)
