It appears that Typo fixed something (or else the newer version of
Rails they're including in svn did).  Either way, it looks like I'm
much better off now. 

Scott fixed the "Great Typo Memory Leak of 2006":

I upgraded my personal blog a few days ago and my doggies are at 27mb each.
