there were some problems in the 4.6 related to the event handling - 4.7
should solve the problem, you can try the new beta
(http://www.tildeslash.com/monit/dist/beta/).
In the case that the problem persists, i can help you onsite or just
send your configuration and i will try to replicate it ...
