Hey guys,

I've been trying to set up monin to restart my dns server (mydns). I tried various config settings, but none of them worked. They either didn't restart mydns at all oder restarted it all the time until the timeout was reached!

Here is the last setting I tried:

check process mydns with pidfile /var/run/mydns.pid
       start program = "/etc/init.d/mydns start"
       stop program = "/etc/init.d/mydns stop"
if failed port 53 type udp protocol dns then restart
if 5 restarts within 5 cycles then timeout

Do you have any hints for me?

Regards,
Samy

Is your mydns server listening on localhost?
