Hi,
the entry is logged by Postfix on TCP connect - this is general for
every client. If you want to eliminate this entry you can for use
syslog daemon which allows to filter out entries - in this case
postfix localhost connects (such as syslog-ng)

Hi,
Does anyone know how to configure all the monit events not to be put
into syslog?
I.e when monit checks syslog I get this
Jun 18 10:57:18 host postfix/smtpd[8544]: connect from
localhost[127.0.0.1]
Jun 18 10:57:18 host postfix/smtpd[8544]: disconnect from
localhost[127.0.0.1]
Every time postfix is checked (I get it for other checks too) it
floods the logs.
