After a monit restart, the
"if failed port 2501 protocol postfix-policy with timeout 15 seconds then alert" ... checks OK, then after one cycle, it stays failed. syslog says: Jul 19 13:13:18 mx1 monit[25214]: 'mx1-SQLGREY' failed, cannot open a connection to INET[mx1.xxx.net:2501] via TCP But postfix has no trouble talking to :2501, and the MX gateway is otherwise working.
