Hi, please can you get network trace of the ping test (you can use for example tcpdump or wireshark)?
I'd also recommend to upgrade Monit to latest version (5.8.1) - you can use "rpmbuild -tb monit-5.8.1.tar.gz" to create RPM package from the Monit source code distribution.
