Hello Tildeslash,
a question/request to make the matched data available with the "monit
status" output from "check file". Today (based on Monit 5.21.0 and Monit
5.25.2) the status output show a "yes" or "no" only.
The monit command interface gives no more detail information about what
content matched.

File 'test.log'
  status Content match
  monitoring status Monitored
  monitoring mode active
  on reboot start
  permission 644
  uid 504
  gid 20
  size 708 B
  access timestamp Sun, 28 Oct 2018 09:17:26
  change timestamp Sun, 28 Oct 2018 09:17:43
  modify timestamp Sun, 28 Oct 2018 09:17:43
  content match yes
  data collected Sun, 28 Oct 2018 09:17:45

Compared to a "check program", I got the last output for this service
type, I missed this useful information.

Program 'random.sh'
  status OK
  monitoring status Monitored
  monitoring mode active
  on reboot start
  last exit value 42
  last output random 42
  data collected Sun, 28 Oct 2018 09:22:16

The matched line seems to me useful for all people are using the monit
command interface. The last output for "check program" is very
helpful/useful.

A suggestion only,
with regards,
Lutz
