Hello Noel, you are right. The syntax of your first sample should be right, see https://mmonit.com/monit/documentation/monit.html#NETWORK-PING-TEST, but does not fit to the p.y definitions (I think).
Your second sample confuse me, with a look to _checkConnection (in validate.c) the "Event_post(s, Event_Speed, State_Failed" set the status always to failed. > Any guidance would be appreciated The responsetime does not work, you can not use this at the time.
