Hello everyone, I am Nithin Saji, I will be working on the project Lua scripting support and a memcached plugin for monkey.I hangout in freenode as diadara
*About myself :* I am a fourth year student at Birla Instittute of Technology and Science,Pilani , India working on dual degrees in Physics and Computer Science. This is my second year with GSoC, last year I worked with SMC on their silpa project which aims to develop language processing libraries for non English languages. I am an opensource enthusiast and a productivity nerd who believes my vim and Emacs skills will help me to save the world one day :). I blog occasionally at http://diadara.github.io *Why Monkey :* I have a web dev background and occasionally take on hardware projects involving atmegas and raspberypi's . I was also interested in computer networks, systems programming, linux etc and was looking for a project to learn more in these areas. *About my project : Lua scripting support and memcached plugin* I had originally applied for the raspbery pi Dashboard project which matched my background. Eduardo had asked me whether I was interested in switching to my current project. I was actually quite happy with this as this represented a huge learning opportunity for me. I want to thank the mentors for giving this opportunity. My project involves 1. Creating a Lua scripting plugin for monkey which will can be used for rendering dynamic content as well as hook callbacks against http events as well as carry out administrative tasks. I will also be making a package for duda to add Lua scripting support. 2. Creating a memcached plugin for monkey *During my free time :* When I am away from my computer, I will be mostly reading or listening to music http://www.last.fm/user/nithinsaji . I plan to pick up some music theory and learn an instrument in the near future. Regards and good luck to all other participants -- Nithin Saji Bits Pilani
