I'm sorry, but to fix this bug I will need a test case - the fact that you
cannot reproduce it easily means that the bug is trigerred by a certain pattern
which is not very common. Fixing the item==null issue would be easy, but it
would likely hide the real cause of the bug - therefore I'm setting the status
of this bug to NEEDINFO and its severity to 'normal'. Please reopen the bug
when you can provide a test case (or grant me access to your application).
