Summary: After installing mono GDIpluss.dll not found ==> no
winforms app will run
Product: Mono: Runtime
Version: 1.2
Platform: i686
OS/Version: Ubuntu
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: packaging
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Found By: ---
Description of Problem:
- after installing mono (1.2.5.1) (using the bitrock installer) it turned out
that no WinForms app would run, all would complain about libgdiplus not being
found ...
- using MONO_LOG_LEVEL=debug i noticed that mono would search only for
libexif.so.9 ... i had libexif ... but libexif.so.12 ... creating a link to
libexif.so.9 resolved the problem for me ... so i was wondering, why would mono
ask specifically for so.9 and not .so?
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. install the latest mono on ubuntu 7.04 or 6.10 ...
2. run any winforms app
Actual Results:
winforms app will not run, rather throws libgdi not found
Expected Results:
- either winforms app working
- or the installer warning about a specific libexif version needed
How often does this happen?
every time
