This usually indicates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application. ================================================================= Also, on the 2.0 we apparently throw a FileNotFoundException if the only file matching the assembly name is not a valid assembly. MS throws a BadImageFormatException in that case.
