There are only a couple scenarios of ArrayList usage in the generated code. There are also a half dozen or so ArrayLists and Hashtables in the hand-coded glib bindings. I am interested in addressing significant issues identified by profile data, but I'm not excited about the idea of changing working code just for the sake of some theoretical gain in performance that hasn't been documented by profiling.
