Summary: Optimize IL code emitted on binary `|' operator
Product: Mono: Compilers
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: C#
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [email protected]
Found By: ---
We emit pretty bad code for `x | (true|false)' binary boolean operations. This
is more visible when used together with nullable types.
public static class D {
static bool? debugging = null;
public static void Main () {
debugging |= true;
}
}
The fix is to extend binary optimizations currently done in Binary::DoResolve.
