There should be an area on the control that can be clicked only to set focus
and not make any value change. In this case, only the area strictly *within*
the ticks should be active. The ticks themselves and all the surrounding area
should not be.
(With that change, the area is *very* slightly larger than MSFT, but it's fine.
The area is longer -- including the whole bar length rather than to the the
last tick positions).
