Summary: [0.8.0] Mono.Zeroconf RegisterService ineffective
Product: Mono: Class Libraries
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Mono.Zeroconf
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
QAContact: [email protected]
Found By: ---
Mono.Zeroconf 0.8.0 does not seem to actually register a service on openSUSE
11.0 + Banshee repo. Using the sample appliction (mzclient -p "_daap._tcp 8888
andrew") and then running avahi-browse _daap._tcp reveals that the service does
not get published.
Using --debug on avahi-daemon will show that M.Z is making calls to AddService
and Commit but I haven't found what the content of those calls are as I don't
know how to debug dbus yet. It's notable that when I use avahi-publish to
publish the same record avahi-daemon reveals that that client called GetState
and IsEmpty before calling AddService and Commit.
