Sample MonoDevelop project

Description of Problem:
When making asynchronous HTTP requests on an iPhone 3G using the System.Net
classes whilst the phone is in 3G mode, a WebException is thrown indicating a
NameResolutionFailure.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Make sure the iPhone is in 3G mode (not WiFi), and hasn't been used to
communicate over the internet for a while (rebooting the iPhone is a good idea)
2. Execute an asynchronous requesting using the System.Net.HttpWebRequest class

Actual Results:
A WebException is immediately thrown.

Expected Results:
The request returns successfully.

How often does this happen?
Once triggered, every time (i.e. every attempt to make a request).

Additional Information:
This only occurs on an iPhone, not the simulator. Also, if another application
has used the internet over 3G recently, there is no problem. To replicate it,
reboot the device first.

A sample MonoDevelop project is attached.
