I have successful compiled and ran the blogging application remotely as well as a trivial Windows Forms applications however when I attempt to run an application that I had previously written to run on Linux I receive the Invalid project directory error message from inside of Visual Studio. This application runs fine from the Linux command line. What does this error message mean? I tried to find documentation for the mono tools for Visual studio and found none, not on the web and not installed by your msi file. This windows forms program loads an additional .NET assembly and references 2 Linux libraries. The Linux libraries are properly installed in /usr/lib and the LD_LIBRARY_PATH is properly set so the executing program can find it when I don't try to use visual studio Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Attempt to load and run a Windows forms program that accesses one .NET assembly and 2 external Linux libraries.
