Using a different option for FormBorderStyle causes no problem. This does not happen in Linux. Attachment shows an example. To compile: mcs textbox.cs /r:System.Windows.Forms.dll /r:System.Drawing.dll Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. mcs textbox.cs /r:System.Windows.Forms.dll /r:System.Drawing.dll 2. mono textbox.exe 3. try to type something inside the TextBox Actual Results: Can not write or delete into the TextBox!
