Example : .. long a = 100; try { a = someInstance.OverrideProperty; //Exception thrown by getter } catch {} Console.WriteLine(a); //prints garbage .. In addition, the exception-throwing method/property must be an override, either of an abstract/virtual method/property. See attached sample code.
