https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737422#c0 Summary: Monodevelop eats up memory when in Debug View Classification: Mono Product: MonoDevelop Version: 2.4.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Windows Vista Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: debugger AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [email protected] QAContact: [email protected] Found By: Development Blocker: Yes Description of Problem: Using monodevelop to attach and debug a unity 3.4 project is was noticed that memory usage would constantly increase(viewed with task manager) until the pc would hang. After more tests and investigation I norrowed the problem down to just having to actually switch to the debug layout, without even having to attach and debug. In just debug layout alone memory usage would increase at around 5mb per second. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Switch to debug layout 2. Run PC Task Manager and watch memory Actual Results: Memory would be consumed until the point at which the pc would crash. Expected Results: Memory to not constantly go up. How often does this happen? 100% Additional Information: FIX - I deleted the debug layout option (View -> Delete Current Layout). When attaching to Unity to debug, a new debug layout was created. This new debug layout did NOT consume memory as per the original debug layout. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ mono-bugs maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-bugs
