We are developing COM plugins for a framework which has not moved to
2.0 or higher yet. The host application may be .NET or native, and
since the first one requesting .NET in the process determines the
version, we must be able to run with 1.1. Of course we could develop
with 2.0 and have a check that we only use the stuff 1.1 provides, but
as far as I know there is no good VS integration to implement this
limit (i.e. IntelliSense always shows you 2.0 stuff etc.).
