When POSTing anything big to a ASP.NET page or web service, it has to be buffered. Someone filed a bug report saying that it used too much memory and the mmap patch made it behave *much* better. However, ASP.NET 2.0 has some feature to use a file on disk instead of keeping the whole buffer in memory and we might do this for 1.1 too. In this case, it would help if you provide a test that we can use to measure the slowdown. Based on that, the mmap option could be removed once the write-buffer-to-disk code is ready. -Gonzalo _______________________________________________ Mono-devel-list mailing list Mono-devel-list@lists.ximian.com http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-devel-list
