We have picked students for this year already. You want to wait till Sept 2009? :) The fundamental problems with Mono.Media at the moment are: (a) no-one spec'ed concrete use cases and requirements -- it's still a very nebulous idea (b) the are no applications that want to consume it -- people have suggested Banshee, but it has no problems with its GStreamer/C player engine, and you'd need to present a very solid case to change this (c) developing a good and sufficiently generic library from scratch like this will take a lot of time and effort IMO a good GStreamer# binding will be more useful than Mono.Media. -- Michael Hutchinson http://mjhutchinson.com _______________________________________________ Mono-devel-list mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-devel-list
