Thanks for encouragement and advice, Julian. I will check out wxBasic, it would be great if I could use their C wrapper. The job of wx.net should be a little easier, since much of the functionality of wxBase is already in the .net platform. I really only intend to wrap the gui classes, making them as c#-ish as possible, so I don't have to take on the formidable task of trying to wrap *everything*.
