As mentioned in the FAQ, you need to create the .wapi/ directory in teh home directory of the user Apache runs as. If you are using Apache taht came with your distribution, it is /var/www/. If you installed Apache from source, say in /usr/local/apache2/ then you need to create the /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/.wapi directory and make sure has the right permissions and is owned by the user Apache run as. I can see how the current wording in the FAQ entry can be confusing, so I will be updating it to be more specific. but this should solve it, let me know
